A fund management company refers to a company established under the relevant laws and regulations to manage fund activities such as fund raising, fund share subscription and redemption, fund property investment, and income distribution. The legal fundraising of securities investment funds shall be undertaken by the fund manager. The fund manager is a fund management company established according to law. The manager of the fund shall be approved by the securities regulatory authority under the State Council. According to the establishment method, there are closed-end funds and open-end funds; there are contract-type funds and company-type funds; according to investment objects, there are stock funds, money market funds, option funds, real estate funds, and so on.
